Ward Peter Torri, a member of the NHS Class of 1973, is deceased as of early June 1992. Known as Peter, he was a 1977 graduate of Alfred University in upstate New York with a degree in Political Science. He continued in graduate school receiving an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1980. Peter's career took him into commercial banking and he was very successful working at a national bank in Washington DC structuring major loans and bond issues for the then rapidly growing cable TV industry. By the late 1980s, Peter was considering re - locating to the Boston area and had married. He was striken with non hodgkin's lymphoma ( a particularly aggressive form of blood cell cancer ) in 1990 and died in mid 1992, survived by his wife Mindy, father and younger brother, Roger. Peter Torri is well recalled as one of those people who always made things look easy; he had a quite grace, charm, broad smile and keen intellect. He is certainly missed by those who knew him.
