Scott T. Jacobson of Hudson, formerly of Needham, a former business owner, died Friday at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in East Orange, N.J., Mr. Jacobson was raised in Needham. He lived there until moving to Hudson with his wife, where he had spent the past 28 years.

A graduate of Needham High School, he later attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Mr. Jacobson and his wife owned and operated the popular Jake’s Coffee Shop in Marlboro from 1984 to 2003.
