Bill Ferellec

Bill Ferellec

William Matthew Ferellec, passed peacefully at home after prolonged illness May 23, 2022

He leaves his beloved wife, Kathleen Kubit after 42 years of togetherness.

Originally from Maywood, NJ he is predeceased by his parents, Matthew & Jeanne Ferellec, his brothers, Michel & Donald and leaves his sister, Maria and husband, George of Naples, FL, niece and nephew Debbie (Jeffrey) Powers of Andover, NJ, Jeffrey (Eldemira) of Naples, FL, grand-niece Kellie Powers Belits (Adam) and grand-nephew Matthew Powers, both of Andover, NJ. Along with great-great nieces and nephews. He loved you all.

Bill graduated from Johnson & Whales, Providence, RI where he followed in his father’s footsteps in the food industry. After working for Red Coach Grill, Marriott, & Pillar House, he opened his own shop in Norwood,

“Bill & Kathy’s On the Common”. He eventually went into sales: paper, coffee, olive oil, where he found many friends & associates. He was a ‘collector’ of people and made many fast friends over the years.

Working with Matt Garrett’s led to a life-long friendship with the Dinner With Does gang where we had monthly dinner gatherings for great food and laughter.

His later career was in real estate working with Coldwell Banker, Westwood office. Bill was surrounded by great people dedicated to their community. He enjoyed finding the right home for each client, settling them into forever homes.

His passion was bicycling on long distance rides. He completed 2  “AIDS” rides from Boston to NYC, the 2-day “Ride to Remember” for Alzheimer’s research and a number of other rides.

Bill enjoyed our rescued family of greyhounds over the years. Lots of entertainment and love from the dogs. Especially our first, Hunter. I have this image of Hunter giving Bill a kiss on the lips! So sweet. Happy they are together again.

Bill loved his family, as well as his ever growing list of friends. He was a good uncle to Steve, Anthony, Michael, Karina and Sam…taught them the value of ‘paper money only!’

Bill is remembered for his fun sense of humor, and kindness. His gratitude towards those that made his life meaningful is profound.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 12 noon to 3pm at Eastern Pearl Restaurant, 2275 Providence Hwy, Walpole MA. For planning purposes, please RSVP by July 6th to kathleenkubit@gmail.com
