Mark...great songs! For people that don't know....the Funk Brothers did all the backups in Nashvill for the Motown Sound until Motown moved to LA in 72', I really enjoyed that era. I'll see if I can find them for us this weekend. I also remember "My Girl", "I Heard It Through the Grapevine", "Baby Love", "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone", "The Tears of a Clown", "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", and "(Love is Like a) Heat Wave"?

Thanks Rick.... Thats a great List and you put a lot of thought into it.

I was up in Needham this weekend and practiced with Suffrin Blye yesterday in Foxboro....They have three sets of stuff ready to play and might be persuaded to take requests if things loosen up enough and people don't mind a spontanious college try at stuff we haven't played in a long time.

Hi Lisa...thanks...those are all great...Chicago: Color My World, Beginnings..., I'm a man,

The Who: Won't get fooled again, Behind Blue eyes, Majic Bus, Pinball Wizzard,

Moody Blues: ....the "Days of Future Passed" album which was released believe it or not in 1967 stayed on the billboard charts for over 2 years has to be one of the most classic "concept" rock albums of all time...Nights in White Satin...all great songs...

Great idea Al...I'll collect pictures people send me so we can project them on the wall behind the band. People can email their pics to Billbergin@cox.net and I'll put them all on a hard drive.

How about some old recordings of Bill playing Inna Godda-Da-Vida at the K of C hall in December of 1969 ? I think it's back on reel #8 ...

We will also have a computer and video projector, to compile and show photos all night...so bring your favorites to share !

Just a thought... on the mellow side, "Sweet Caroline". I figure the band already has Zepplin, Beck, The Stones, etc.. covered but to mix it up with some soft rock for the few of us whose joints are aching with ailments and such.

Eric Burdon had some memorable songs back then but House of the rising sun was one of his biggest.

Can you send me a list of the songs you like on the CD's that George gave you? I'm pretty sure we might have them and would like to play as many as possible...letting us know what your favorite songs were from the 60's and 70's will help us set the mood for what's going to be a lot of fun... and a little dejavous. I'm compiling a list for Al Kennedy & Suffrin Blye and with the feedback I'm getting, I think we'll cover what everyone's likes except John Travolta.

Email your suggestions if you like to. Billbergin@cox.net...and I'll put them on the list.

Don't forget the song "House of the Rising Sun" I also have CD's that George Green made up of 1972 and 1973 music you can listen too. Call me up when you get into town.
